The annual Wayne County Men’s Amateur set off on yesterday at the Southern Wayne Country Club, and will finish today at Lane Tree Country Club.
Many say that this will be the hottest contest in the tournament’s history (no pun intended). Last year’s champions Lionel Sutton of the Open Division, Tim Rose of the Senior Division, and John Zambelli of the Super Senior Division, will be returning to defend their titles.
With a loaded roster of 152 players, the courses’ different difficulties and the competition high, this will make for an interesting matchup.
