Hand Guns Stolen from Homeowner’s Safe

Richard Dell Best of Salem Country Road Goldsboro reported his residence had been broken into and items were stolen from a safe.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office received a report on April 30 from Best that 9 Hand guns and a diamond ring valued over $23,000 were stolen. 

A suspect entered the rear of the residence and damaged the back door and window.

Suspect Omax Gardner Powell, 23 of Salem Country Lane has been questioned by the Wayne County’s Sheriff’s Office and agreed to a consent search of the residence.

The investigation is ongoing.
