On Monday, the Goldsboro Police Department held a press conference concerning the missing person case of Kennedy McLaurin Jr. The mother of Kennedy McLaurin, Kim Best, made a plea for information that will bring her son home. ”Going to bed at night it’s hard. I don’t know where he is… where he is laying his head at,” said Best. “If anybody knows anything that can lead to his whereabouts, please just call it in to the tip line.”
An Amber Alert is still in effect for Kennedy McLaurin. Golsboro Police are now looking for a late model, 1990′s bluish/gray 4-door Oldsmobile with faded paint.
The 16-year-old Goldsboro High School student was last seen 1:00 p.m. Sunday. He is approximately 5’9″ tall and weighs 135 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. McLaurin is possibly wearing blue jeans and an unknown shirt.
They believe he was abducted from the 700 block of Bain Street.
A prayer walk is planned this evening at the corner of Holly and Bain Street beginning at 5:30. Citizens supporting the McLaurin family are invited to take part.
