Phillip Armwood is currently in the Wayne County Jail under a $1,350.000 bond for his charges in connection with the shooting incident that took place on November 1st in Mount Olive.

Chief Rhodes would also like to commend the members of the Mount Olive Police Department for their hard work during the fugitive search. “Detective Martin and Detective Sergeant Weaver worked the investigation and obtained warrants for the suspect the day of the shooting. These Detectives worked diligently during the recent holiday and on their days off obtaining information and following leads.” “This is a fine example of inter agency co-operation and the positive results it can produce”–Chief Rhodes.
