Matthews Funeral Home Update

An Update on the Eric Matthews and E.M. Matthews Funeral Home story we covered yesterday. In a phone call with Mr. Peter Burke, Executive Director of the NC Board of Funeral Service, Mr. Burke said, “There was an investigation and as a result, the Board revoked the funeral home license and personal license of Mr. Matthews. It is my understanding the Department of Insurance has filed formal charges. The Board of Funeral Service has only filed a consent order.”
