Tuscarora Council Scout Leader Announces Retirement

The Scout Executive for the Tuscarora Council of Boy Scouts Of America, Tim Harper, says it’s time to retire after 34 years of service. Harper made the announcement Wednesday.

Harper says his retirement will be effective September 1st. Harper has served with six different councils.

Harper says scouting has been his entire life but now it’s time for him to dedicate more of his time to his family.

    “Tim Harper has worked very hard for the betterment of Tuscarora Council and our youth. Tim takes pride in all that he does and always puts the kids first. It has been a pleasure to serve as a volunteer with Tim. He is a prince of a man and he is going to be missed. We wish him well as he adjusts to a different chapter of his life.”
