Trump Applauds British Decision To Bolt EU

Donald Trump is saluting the United Kingdom’s vote to leave the European Union, saying “they took back their country, it’s a great thing.”

Trump arrived at his Turnberry golf course in Scotland a day after the so-called Brexit vote.

He said “people are angry all over the world,” and said that worries about “the borders” fueled the UK’s vote. He called the decisions to leave “fantastic” and “great.”

Trump also suggested that other counties may follow the UK’s lead, saying “this will not be the last.” He said that people were angry about similar things in the United States.

He did not answer a question about whether British Prime Minister David Cameron should have decided to resign.

  1. Con F. Used says:

The UK lost two trillion dollars instantly, is looking at Scotland to secede, has Sinn Fein calling for Ireland to reunite, has its currency plummet to a 30 year low in one day, causes the Dow to take a 600 point nose dive in the US and drops the UK from fifth largest economy in the world in a matter of hours.
And the funniest thing – the second most googled question in the UK yesterday (after “What happens if we leave the EU?”) was: “What is the EU?”
Imagine that, half a country of uninformed right wing nut jobs voting for Boris Johnson, a populist crazy man with a bad haircut!
Thank god, this could never happen in the US.
    Oh, wait…
