Lidl Closer to Having a Home in Goldsboro

A new grocery store is one step closer to becoming a reality in Goldsboro. The Goldsboro City Council approved a property change that paves the way for the addition of a new Lidl grocery store along Wayne Memorial Drive.

No word on when the over 36,170-square-foot store could open. It will be located at 2115 Wayne Memorial Drive directly across from Harris Teeter and alongside the Circle K gas station.

I love Lidl And hope they bring an Aldis here too. We need more competition in this town for grocery stores. Harris Teeter could use some price adjustments and Lidl and Aldis are the ones to give it to them.

Just what Goldsboro needs…. another stupid Grocery store!! Especially in the location they are stating. This area is a total bottleneck already! Good Grief, what city planner thought this was a good idea?

Actually, you might want to give it a chance, lower priced foods, bakery, fresh produce… give it a chance. if youve ever shopped at ALDI, then this is a higher scaled version of ALDI!

Ya, cram more stuff into the already highly congested area..Anything to get more $ to feed the failing liberal programs in the city..and pay for more center street boondoggles..Just read an article that had Goldsboro as the 25th poorest city in the nation..Great work ..
