Have Coffee With A Cop This Week

The Goldsboro Police Department is headed out again to have coffee with the community this week!

Coffee with a Cop will be at the Bojangles at 233 NC 111 South in Goldsboro from 8:30-9:30am this Thursday, January 12th.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Coffee with a Cop meeting is a chance for citizens to meet officers who patrol their neighborhoods and ask them questions or voice concerns. Coffee with a Cop is an opportunity for law enforcement to hear what’s on the minds of those they protect.

The Coffee with a Cop program originated in California and has become a national Community Policing program. Citizens will have the opportunity to meet the Officers who patrol their neighborhoods, as well as Crime Prevention and Investigative Officers.

Seems they would have found a better place for the city police to meet the people and talk “to meet officers who patrol their neighborhoods” I lived in that area and if you call the police out there, the sheriffs department responds. Goldsboro PD does not patrol that area out there, if they do that is as far as they go. Maybe next time they can pick a restaurant further inside the city limits
