Pikeville Man Arrested After String Of Crimes

A Pikeville man has been arrested after an investigation into multiple crimes in Wayne and Wilson Counties.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation on January 19th of this year based on citizen and crime stoppers tips of stolen property being stored at 103 East Old Fort Road in Pikeville. As a result of this investigation, stolen property was recovered and identified by the 10 different victims/property owners. Recovered was two 4 wheelers, a Golf Cart, an enclosed trailer, numerous power tools, 2 sets of tires and rims and other personal property valued at over $27,000. 28 year old Melvin Brandon Brantley of Pikeville has been arrested and charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, felony larceny, 9 counts of felony possession of stolen goods, and 7 counts of felony receiving stolen goods. Brantley received a $75,000 bond.

    Someone posted his bond sure hope they lose it he’s stealing again to buy meth This person would steal pennies off a dead man’s eyes.He should be poster child for Meth. Sleeps all day gas up and steals all night.
