Police were searching for the person responsible for an armed robbery at the Ruby Tuesday in Goldsboro on Saturday night.
The incident happened just after 7:30 on Saturday night. Employees say the store was held at gunpoint during regular business hours with customers inside. The restaurant was closed last night after the robbery but was back open for business Sunday. One person was injured after reportedly being hit with the pistol being used in the robbery. They were transported by ambulance but later released.

With all the armed robberies that have occurred in Goldsboro and Wayne County lately, I’m beginning to wonder if this is a NEW initiation requirement for entry into a gang. There are adolescents, teens, and young adults that would do anything to be a part of something that they see as “something special.”

I agree. Their are jobs out there but they just don’t want no part of that. The government keeps them up and for extra drug money and etc.’s they rob to get it. Other people are feeling the crunch but we don’t rob either.

I was there while it was happening. It was so fast the half of us didnt even know it was happening. Less than 5 mins. He was in and out. Nothing could have been done differently than what was done.

One licensed concealed carry could have ended it all and saved our taxpayers loads of money.
Greg, why do you assume there wasn’t a concealed carrier there? Just because somebody is carrying doesn’t mean they have to get involved. I’ve known quite a few who chose not to do so. Had a CCP holder gotten involved, it could have led to a shoot out in a restaurant full of people. Some people realize that adding more guns to a situation is not always the best solution.

If I recall it is illegal to conceal a weapon in a place serving alcohol and not only that but I believe ruby Tuesday’s has a sign preventing concealed carry… So if the person was carrying concealed they would lose the permit.
