Drive-By Murder Trial Begins This Week

A murder trial is scheduled to start this week in Wayne County.

26-year old Alquan D. Hill of Grifton is set to stand trial for three charges, including a count of first degree murder.  He was allegedly part of the “Kinston Six, ” a group implicated in a deadly Goldsboro drive-by shooting in October of 2014.  One woman, 21-year old Shanekqua Thompson of Goldsboro, was killed in the shooting, and one other person was also injured.  Hill’s trial is set to begin this week in Wayne County Superior Court.
