North Carolina To Host NCAA Championship Events

(North Carolina News Network) – North Carolina is back in the game. The NCAA has included North Carolina sites for championship events after the state repealed HB2. The NCAA has selected more than 600 host sites for preliminary rounds and finals of predetermined championships in Divisions I, II and III to be held from 2017-18 through 2021-22. North Carolina was awarded 26 sites across 12 different sports in all three division levels. Raleigh, Cary and Greensboro received 24 of the 26 sites with Winston-Salem being granted a women’s field hockey event and a men’s and women’s track and field event.
