Mayor Wants To Clean Up Goldsboro

Goldsboro’s mayor wants to spruce up the city.

Appearing on Jeff Farrow’s morning show on Talk of the Town WGBR 1150 am and 98.3 fm this week, Mayor Chuck Allen said the city is working hard to make Goldsboro cleaner, including tearing down dozens of blighted properties.  Allen also encourages owners of blighted homes and buildings to take care of their own properties.  Mayor Allen says residents can also get involved in their community’s appearance by cleaning up litter or taking part in the city’s “Adopt a Road” program.  Mayor Allen says citizens may notice road resurfacing projects getting underway in about a month or so as part of Goldsboro’s Infrastructure Bond Referendum approved by voters in November.

Chucky and his libtard cronies are the reason the city is the way it is..He’s just continuing the failed tax and spend policies of X mayor Alfondodo. All about wealth redistribution and fostering the free for me mentality. Why do you think we have drugs and thugs roosting here..Most public housing in NC is a prime indicator..As Long as Chucky can look out his new office window and see his multi million $ center street landscape and shoot over to his country club golf course for lunch and a few rounds of golf..All is good..

Staying on topic, let’s see the junk vehicles removed from yards. Unless it has recently changed, the city ordinance does not provide any provision for covered vehicles, yet the owners are allowed to do that.
Thank you Mayor and the rest of the city council for taking the cleanliness at heart.

it is not the job of the mayor or city council to raise the children of Goldsboro. They are working hard to provide activities and job opportunities, but the fate of these children is in the hands of their parents. Let’s hold parents accountable for raising their children instead of elected officials.
There is so much negativity out there any time an official talks about something they would like to accomplish. While we can all agree there are many issues facing our city, I have a hard time understanding how you find fault with a mayor making an effort to clean up the city.

He needs to clean up the inner city youth and keep them out of trouble.
    Stop worrying about appearances.
Our money could go to so many better things.
Invest in the troubled youth Chuck!

The mayor to try to get that sorry golf course cleaned up. Trying to raise the rates at the golf course is absurd, when there is still a hurricane damage on the ground. Put your money where your mouth is mayor
