There’s been some success with the City of Goldsboro’s expanded bus hours. In December, the Goldsboro City Council extended the bus service hours for the Green, Blue, and Purple bus routes, and those extended hours took effect in February with new 6:30 and 7:30 trips in the evening. According to the Goldsboro-Wayne Transportation Authority, passengers have been utilizing the new trips along the Blue and Purple routes. However, the Green Route appears to be underperforming. So, Goldsboro plans to keep the extended hours on the Blue and Purple Routes through Labor Day to see how the longer daylight hours affect ridership on the later trips.
