Goldsboro Power Outage

Some Goldsboro residents were really left in the dark overnight. A vehicle reportedly crashed into a power pole along Wayne Memorial Drive sometime after 1 AM, knocking out the electricity to nearly 2,300 Duke Energy customers.  Most of the power was restored within a couple of hours, and Duke Energy estimates the rest of the electricity will be restored by 8 AM.
