Murder Suspect Arrested In Goldsboro

A wanted murder suspect is taken off the streets in Goldsboro. 31-year old Glenn E. Warren of Spring Lake was arrested by Goldsboro Police Monday.  The GPD says Warren initially tried to conceal his identity, but he eventually divulged his real name to officers at the Wayne County Jail.  Warren is wanted on several charges out of Cumberland County, including felony counts of First Degree Murder and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.  Police have tied Warren to the November shooting death of Devante S. Hart in Spring Lake.

Warren was arrested as the Goldsboro Police Department executed an arrest warrant on the 700-block of W. Walnut Street. During the operation, police arrested 28-year old Yadshea D. Jones of Goldsboro for charges including felony counts of Larceny After B&E, Possession of Stolen Goods, and Fleeing to Elude Arrest.  Jones is being held on a $79,000 secure bond.

Wayne County needs a work farm. If you give these folks hard labor no TV.
We could cut down on jail space.
And maybe they will move out Wayne County.

Why does GDN bother “approving” comments? Most of them have nothing to do with the story and are usually just a couple of people slinging mud back and forth.

We’re importing them now? Don’t we have enough “home-grown thugs”?

Funny you said that! I was thinking the same thing until I realized that we aren’t importing, but rather “drawing” this element to Wayne County because of some of our less than stellar citizens. Sadly, G’boro has become a drug, weapon, and theft haven, largely because of our continued provision of low-income housing opportunities. Other counties, LARGE and PROSPEROUS COUNTIES, have discontinued such housing and their rough necks have found new subsidized living availability in Goldsboro.

You are part of the problem. While you may not agree with some of the mayor and city council’s actions, suggesting that a person would willingly do something to promote behavior such as murder is reprehensible.

Actually, I was born and raised in the south and am a very conservative person. I neither need, nor want a safe space. I think people should fend for themselves and be responsible for their actions. I find it comical that just because I have the guts to respond to idiocy that I am automatically a liberal.
