Peggy Faucette Huffman

May 13, 67,

Peggy Faucette Huffman, 67, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.

Peggy was born in Wayne County on January 3, 1950 to the late John Graham Faucette and Bessie Hines Faucette.  She was married to Eddie Huffman who preceded her in death on July 28, 2005.  Peggy enjoyed life and spending time with her family and friends.  She was a valued child support administrator of Wayne County Social Services for over 30 years.  Peggy loved Oakland Community Church and was a dedicated and faithful servant her entire life.

Peggy will be remembered for her unconditional love as a wife and mother, and a friend to all.  So too will she be remembered for her compassionate spirit and soul, and her gift of finding joy in doing random acts of kindness for others.  Family was paramount to Peggy, and she loved nothing more than her husband, her children, and grandchildren.  She was the embodiment of love as we have been taught by our Savior, Christ Jesus.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service celebrating Peggy’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Phil Bowden officiating.  Interment will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Janet Michelle Huffman of Goldsboro and Stefanie Huffman Adams of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Brianna, Britney, and Carson; sisters, Judy F. Smith of Goldsboro, and Betsy Lawhorn and husband Ricky of Goldsboro; brother, Kenneth Graham Faucette and wife Eula of Goldsboro; and sister-in-law, Vickie Huffman.

Peggy’s family would like to acknowledge the staff of 3HC, as well as the friends, church members, caregivers, nurses, and physicians who had a profound impact on the quality of her life in recent months.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Peggy’s memory to Oakland Community Church, 921 Oakland Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569.
