Dudley Native Released By Steelers

A Wayne County native has been released by his NFL team. Pittsburgh Steelers long snapper Greg Warren was released Thursday with the designation of a failed physical.  Warren was the longest tenured player with the Steelers, playing in 181 games over 12-seasons.  His career included three Super Bowl appearances, including the Steelers’ Super Bowl XL and Super Bowl XLIII Championship teams.  Warren is from Dudley.  He played football at Southern Wayne High School and he walked on at the University of North Carolina. Warren also owns Goldsboro Physical Therapy on Wayne Memorial Drive, and his father was a former football coach at Southern Wayne.
