Mt. Olive Pickle Purchases Facility

Mt. Olive Pickle is growing. The company has announced it’s purchased the former Hilex Poly facility on Old Mount Olive Highway for $1.8 million.  The purchase includes a 23-acre tract and a 140,000-square foot one-story building that will be used by Mt. Olive Pickle for warehousing finished products.  A $1 million, two-month renovation of the building began earlier this month.  The facility is adjacent to the Mount Olive Industrial Park and two of Mt. Olive Pickle’s other warehouses.  Due to the company’s growth in recent years, Mt. Olive Pickle now employs 600 employees year-round with an additional 350 seasonal workers in the summertime.
