UMO’s Tina Parks Honored With Milestone Award

The University of Mount Olive’s Tina Parks has been recognized with the Milestone Award at the Conference Carolinas second Legends of the Game Banquet on Monday afternoon on the campus of Barton College. This year’s ceremony honored three administrators that have provided immense service to their respective institutions over the years.  The honorees received either the ‘Milestone Award’ or ‘Legend of the Game Award’ to commemorate their careers. The ‘Milestone Award’ is given to an administrator that has at least 15 years of service in collegiate athletics. Parks was honored with the Milestone Award for her over 20 years of service to collegiate athletics. Parks came to the University of Mount Olive as the Administrative Assistant in December of 1995.  Parks is the Athletics Department Office Manager at UMO.  She prepares and distributes all national letters of intent and scholarships on all student-athletes. Parks is directly involved in working with the athletic training staff to ensure Trojan student-athletes complete necessary physical and insurance paperwork each year. Also, she coordinates all transportation for all of UMO’s teams.  In addition to servicing the needs of UMO’s head coaches and their staffs, Parks is also an assistant to both the athletic director and compliance officer and addresses a variety of needs in their respective areas.  She oversees ticket sales during home games as well as any conference or regional tournaments held at UMO.
