Col. Currin Takes Command Of 916th ARW (PHOTO GALLERY)

There’s a new commander at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro. During a ceremony Saturday, Col. Eric Jenkins relinquished command of the 916th Air Refueling Wing to Col. Scovill Currin.  Currin was the 916th’s vice commander before Saturday’s Change of Command ceremony.  Col. Currin will be the first active duty wing commander for the 916th ARW, the first Integrated Wing in U.S. Air Force history which breaks down Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard components.  The 916th Air Refueling Wing is a key refueling unit in Air Force Reserve Command, which flies the KC-135R Stratotanker in support of the Air Force’s worldwide contingency operations involving aerial refueling, airlift of cargo and passengers, and aeromedical evacuation
