Sheriff’s Office Investigates Vehicle B&E’s

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is investigating numerous incidents of motor vehicle break-ins. This rash of breaking and entering’s began around the first of July and so far, in excess of 50 reports have been taken. Most of the incidents have occurred to vehicles which are unlocked. The incidents have occurred in the following and immediate surrounding areas of:

-Mill Bluff Drive, Pikeville

-Sweeten Branch Road, Pikeville

-Nahunta Road, Pikeville

-Church of God Road, Pikeville

-Wesley Drive, Pikeville

-Planters Ridge, Pikeville

-Forest Knolls Road, Goldsboro

-Stratford Road, Goldsboro

-Ryan Blvd., Ryan Road, Ryan Court, Goldsboro

-Goldleaf Drive, Goldsboro

-U S 117 South Alternate, Goldsboro

-Woodland Church Road, Goldsboro

-Rosewood Road, Goldsboro

-Community Drive, Goldsboro

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office encourages individuals to call if they see anything suspicious in their neighborhoods. The Sheriff also asks all citizens to please lock their vehicles to deter any thefts. Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office are investigating current leads they have and are asking for the assistance of the citizens to help solve these crimes.
