Kinston Break-In Suspect Arrested

The Kinston Police Department reports an arrest in a string of vehicle break-ins as well as a B&E at a convenience store. 17-year old Devonte Cantey of Kinston was originally arrested and charged following the August 4th breaking and entering at the C-Mart on the 800-block of Greenbriar Road.  Now, Cantey has also been implicated in the July 29th break-in at Sam’s Mini Mart on the 1400-block of North Queen Street and several vehicle break-ins reported that same day in the Fairfield Community.  It is believed Cantey did not act alone, and the Kinston Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the other subjects involved.  Anyone with information is asked to call Lenoir County Crime Stopper at 252-523-4444.
