Weekend Stabbing In Goldsboro

One person is arrested for a weekend stabbing in Goldsboro. The Goldsboro Police Department was called to the scene of the disturbance on the 300-block of S. Slocumb Street early Saturday morning.  Officers report finding Devin Singleton behind a residence with several stab wounds.  Singleton was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care for his injuries.  The investigation revealed Singleton had gotten into an altercation with 65-year old John E. Hobbs of Goldsboro inside a vehicle at that location.  Hobbs was arrested and also had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries sustained in the fight.  He is facing a charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.  Hobbs was held on a $100,000 secured bond.
