Update On Maxwell Center’s Progress

Wayne County’s new agriculture and convention center is just about six months from its grand opening. The Maxwell Center is set to open in March, and the excitement is growing.  Wayne County Board Chairman Bill Pate and the county’s Public Affairs Director Carol Bowden appeared on The Morning Show with Jeff Farrow on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3 last week.  Pate says the Maxwell Center is on schedule.  Bowden says the county Farm Service Agency workers can’t wait to get into their new digs at the Maxwell Center.  Once completed, the Maxwell Center will hold 4,000 people and will also house farm offices, a greenhouse and a farmers market.

  1. Wow says:

I thought this supposed to be a convention center for everyone. I guess that has changed. It’s for the farmers. With a capacity of 4000, it will never attract a major venue. Good going.
