Arrest Made In Tuesday Shooting Incident

A person is arrested for an alleged shooting incident in Goldsboro. Before 10:30 AM Tuesday, ShotSpotter notified the Goldsboro Police Department that four rounds had been fired behind the apartments on the 400-block of Seymour Drive.  Responding officers were also notified of an armed subject in the area.  When officers arrived on-scene, they located a suspect matching the description and carrying a handgun.  22-year old Ayshaun L. Canady of Goldsboro was taken into custody without incident and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Discharging a Firearm within City Limits and Probation Violation.  Canady was held at the Wayne County Jail on a $145,000 secured bond.

    Not defending this suspect in the story but please remember he has a family and I’m sure they are already going through enough, if he’s guilty then he needs to face the consequences but let’s keep him and his family in prayer
