Man Assaulted During Armed Robbery

One person is taken to the hospital following a Goldsboro armed robbery. The armed robbery was reported to the Goldsboro Police Department around 7 PM Thursday on the 500-block of W. New Hope Road.  According to the police report, a man and woman were leaving an apartment when they were confronted by three black males that forced their way inside the male victim’s apartment at gunpoint.  One of the suspects used the gun to strike the male victim in the head.  The suspects made off with two cell phones, car keys and $300 in cash.  The male victim had to be transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital by EMS.

    That side of town has just about gone to the dogs as well. It used to be the ‘good’ side. Don’t know what’s happening.

      There is no “good side” to this place. Dope, robberies and the odd shooting or two. Typical day in Goldstimore. There may have been some decent areas in the past. The past is gone. Long gone.
