Charles Tony Wiegand, age 51, died Saturday evening at Wayne UNC Healthcare. Born in Wayne County he was the son of the late Herbert C. and Helen B. Wiegand and was the husband of Sueann Thornton Wiegand.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro with Pastor Bill Rose officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Charles was a retired Auto Body Mechanic and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Goldsboro where he was a member of M-25 at the church. He had also served as a past member of the Arrington Volunteer Fire Department and the Dudley Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step-children; Tyler Thornton and Louann Thornton of the home, his brother; Crist Wiegand of Dudley and his aunt; Margaret Wiegand of Goldsboro.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Dudley Volunteer Fire Department, 4533 U.S. Hwy 117 Alternate South, Dudley, N.C. 27533.
