REACT Team Recovers Stolen Firearm, Other Weapons

A stolen firearm is recovered during a weekend REACT Team patrol. The Wayne County Regional Enforcement and Crime Targeting Team was working a northern area of the City of Goldsboro Sunday when a vehicle was pulled over for an equipment violation.  Officers say they spotted a portion of a concealed assault rifle in the vehicle’s passenger area.  The occupants stated there were no weapons that could pose a threat to law enforcement officers, and the REACT Team then searched the vehicle based on probable cause.  Officers report finding four handguns and one AR-15 assault rifle.  Also, a semi-automatic handgun reported stolen from Lenoir County was found under the passenger seat occupied by 19-year old D’Qurious Bradford of Goldsboro, a known gang member.  Bradford was arrested on charges including Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Alter/Remove Gun Serial Number.  He was held on a $27,000 secured bond.

The driver, Kenya Floyd, and rear seat passenger, Jyrus Langston, were issued electronic citations for Carry Concealed Weapons and Possession of Firearm by a Minor.

These useless gangbangers are like a cancer, and Goldsboro is eat up with it! Goldsboro is dead and will stay dead unless something can be done to eradicate this BS. But I unfortunately don’t see an end to it.

Excuse me the jail is full of a lot of innocent people and also a lot overcharged, and over sentence prisoners, if the truth be told the government needs to replace the blinders Injustice so everyone can be tried in Justified fairly not being judged by the color of the skin which we all know people of color are not classified as Citizens therefore they are considered corporate, so if that changes Justice will rise and deadly crimes will cease then we all will be able to unite!.

    • Yup…take a poll of all the jailbirds and they’ll all claim to be innocent. When they’re caught red-handed with illegal weapons and/or drugs, it’s kinda hard to believe in their “innocence”. It’s not always about “people of color” unless they are the ones who’ve committed the crime. Why would the police be out looking for a black man if a white man committed particular crime, or vice versa? That would truly be a waste of their time and resources. You appear to be living in a world of rainbows ad unicorns if you think crime is just going to go away on it’s own.

Bull, when these criminals rack up 10-20 charges and 10-20 court dates the DA will except a guilty plea and almost always drop over half the charges. Suspended sentence with probation is handed down. So your COMMENT is wrong.

  6. A major part of the problem seems to be our judges. After sitting in court lately, (just as an observer), it appears that at least one of our recently elected local judges seems to think that any and all that appear before him can be rehabilitated and deserve 3rd, 4th, & even 5th chances. He’s a good person but I don’t think that he understands the concept of “crime and punishment” and the fact that some people are just evil. These people need to be removed from society if they continue to fail to comply with the law and preset a danger to the public.

Bring back public hangings or speed up “death row” terminations to keep jails from overpopulation. Jails are full and thugs like these just get let back out. We need some teeth into paying the price for repeat offenders

  8. Good ole D’Qurious was one of the ones arrested back in September for the “Brawl at the Circle K” & was a “victim” in a shooting at another gas station the year before. I guess we now know why he rides around with multiple guns.

  9. “Electronic citations”? Will someone in law enforcement please explain that to me? Is it like a “get out of jail free” card? WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!! THIS IS REAL LIFE….NOT A BOARD GAME! It’s criminals like these (no matter the age) who are responsible for the senseless robberies, random shootings and deaths in our cities and county. What is wrong with our laws and judicial system that they allow thugs and/or thug wannabes like these to walk away without any type of punishment or a minimal bond? I encourage every decent, law abiding citizen to get a concealed carry permit because thugs like these aren’t going to stop with a slap on the wrist and it looks like the legal system is not going to protect us from them.

They were out before the poor cop finished writing his report. Then he will spend a day in court with them and they will smile at him when they get no time.
