Goldsboro VA Clinic To Hold Veterans Health Fair

The Goldsboro VA Clinic will hold a “Health Fair” for veterans this week.

Nicole Williford is the Nurse Manager at the Goldsboro Community-Based Outpatient Clinic.  She says the “Health Fair” will include fire safety, gun safety, flu shots, VA health care enrollment, and much more.

Williford says there are plenty of veterans out there that are still not taking advantage of VA health care.  Veterans wanting to enroll for VA health care are encouraged to bring copies of their DD Form 214 (discharge paperwork) and last year’s financial information to expedite enrollment.

The Goldsboro CBOC opened in 2013, and serves veterans in Wayne, Duplin, Lenoir, Sampson, and other surrounding counties.

The Goldsboro VA Clinic’s “Health Fair” will be held from 8 AM until 12 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at the clinic’s location at 2610 Hospital Road in Goldsboro.

I agree it is not good. A friend waiting for 2 hours and still was not seen he finally left. Then they always want to send you to somewhere else that is not fair if they can not do the job close it down. Hire people that can run the place and take care of our veterans.

I pity anyone who has to use this clinic, unless a vast improvement has happened since Nov-Dec 2016. They rarely picked up the phone. Messages were never returned. The primary care doctor refused to let me go to the Wayne wound clinic, said it was inadequate. She was unaware of it until I asked to go, so how does she know it’s inadequate? In fact, Wayne is superior to what I’ve seen @ the Durham VA wound clinic. To be fair the INR nurse was good, but that was all.
