SJAFB Airmen Donate To USO (PHOTOS)

Airmen at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base make a donation to the USO. The $1,100 was raised for the USO through a recent car wash and chili dog sale.

Chris Froeschner is the Vice President of Operations for the USO of North Carolina.  He explained those funds would stay local to help the airmen on base.

Allan Pederson is the USO’s Base Liaison Coordinator at Seymour Johnson. He explained his role in supporting airmen on the base, including preparing care kits for deploying airmen.

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base also welcomed the “Holiday For Heroes” tour on Monday. “Holiday For Heroes” features USO performers from Broadway using song and dance to bring holiday joy to members of the armed services around the State of North Carolina.

The USO is a non-profit organization that provides for active-duty U.S. military members around the world.
