1 Arrested, 1 Sought For Vehicle Theft Ring

One suspect is arrested and another is on the run for a string of Wayne County vehicle thefts. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office had been receiving reports regarding stolen vehicles off of Sleepy Creek Road in Dudley.  On November 24th, the sheriff’s patrol division spotted two stolen wreckers being driven on Sleepy Creek Road.  63-year old Theodore Robinson of Dudley was arrested when he was stopped by deputies.  The other driver ran from deputies and eluded arrest.  More than one dozen other stolen vehicles were located off Sleepy Creek Road and at a chop shop off Griswold Lane.  Robinson is facing charges, including multiple counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and was held at the Wayne County Jail.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has issued Warrants for Arrest on 44-year old Kelvin H. Williams in relation to the case. Williams is known to frequent the Dudley, Mount Olive and Goldsboro area.
