Mother & Son Arrested On Drug Charges

A Wayne County mother and son are arrested on drug charges during a Wayne County Drug Unit surveillance operation. On November 30th, the drug unit was doing surveillance on the sale of illegal narcotics when they noticed a minivan pull into a parking space where nearby officers allegedly observed what appeared to be illegal drug activity.  During a probable cause search of the vehicle, officers report finding numerous items of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.  56-year old Leslie B. Williams of Pikeville was arrested for Possession of Heroin and Drug Paraphernalia.  Her son, 22-year old Chance T. Williams, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia.  Both were held at the Wayne County Jail with bond set at $2,000 secured each.

I may be wrong but I think that the father/husband also works on the police department or sheriffs department also. As a health care worker and mother of 5 young adults, I have had a run in with both of these two. She is a well known drug seeker and known for Dr. shopping and her behavior out in the public is a straight up embarrassment. And he has been unattended and unsupervised for years causing all kinds of trouble.. I am not surprised at all to see their names/mug shots here. I hope her husband (a representative of our law enforcement) will try to get his family help or either be done with them all together.

This family needs prayers and drug treatment. Criticizing them doesn’t change anything. If you have never dealt with drug addiction yoyrself or in your family count your blessings. I hope you never have to. It is horrible for everyone involved. Goldsboro as a whole has some real drug issues. I am thankful for the drug task force that seems to be taking real action. I hope the next step is a rehabilitation program. It is these addicts only hope and trusting in God to help them stay sober.
