Traffic Stop Leads To Foot Chase And Arrest

A Christmas Eve traffic stop led to an arrest in the Dudley area. The traffic stop started as a typical motor vehicle violation. During the traffic stop probable cause was present and a search of the vehicle was conducted. During this search illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were found. While attempting to detain the suspect, 30 year old Christopher Torrai Wright fled on foot. Wright fled through four yards before being taken into custody. Wright was transported to Wayne ER to seek treatment at Wright’s request. He was released from Wayne ER and transported to the Magistrate’s Office where he received a $22,000.00 secured bond. Wright was charged with Possession With Intent to Sell/Deliver Cocaine, Possession With Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, and Resisting/Delaying/Obstructing an Officer.
