Operational Exercise At SJAFB On Thursday

You may notice increased activity in and around the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base on Thursday. The 4th Fighter Wing at the Air Force base in Goldsboro will conduct a single-day operational readiness exercise throughout the day.  During Thursday’s exercise, residents in the area may notice increased noise, aircraft activity with longer flying hours and potential traffic congestion near the base.  The base will operate on increased force protection conditions during the exercise, with possible gate closures or delays.  Operational readiness exercises ensure 4th Fighter Wing personnel are prepared to answer the nation’s call anytime, anywhere.
