Hospital Implements Flu Season Visitor Restrictions

The local hospital implements visitor restrictions for flu season.

Beginning Thursday, Jan. 11, children under 12 are not allowed to visit inpatient areas or waiting rooms at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro.

The restrictions have been put in place at Wayne UNC Health Care due to the number of viral influenza cases reported across North Carolina.

The hospital also asks you to avoid visiting if you have flu-like symptoms, including a cough, runny nose, sore throat, or nasal drainage.
