Time To Apply For Summer Youth Employment Opportunities

The City of Goldsboro is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Summer Youth Employment Initiative.

Goldsboro currently plans to hire 47-youth for this summer’s program, and City Manager Scott Stevens is hopeful more businesses–and possibly the county–will step forward to help provide summer jobs to the kids.

A mandatory orientation session for the Summer Youth Employment program is being held tonight (Thursday, Jan. 11) from 6-8 PM in the Moffat Auditorium on the Wayne Community College campus.

Goldsboro’s Summer Youth Employment Initiative is open to Goldsboro residents ages 14-18 that are enrolled in school.  High school drop outs ages 16-21 will also be considered for the program.

Application information can be found on the Community Affairs page on the City of Goldsboro’s website (goldsboronc.gov).  The application period is open until February 9.
