Shed The Pounds, Shed the Risk

Wayne UNC Health Care is offering a program to help residents take control of their health. “Shed the Pounds, Shed the Risk” is an eight-week program being offered through the Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Health at Wayne UNC.

Kali Williams is a Registered Dietician at the Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Health.  She says the program covers components including physical activity, causes of weight gain, healthy eating, and healthy shopping.  Williams says the program is a great fit for Wayne County’s health needs.

Williams says the Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Health works to help area residents maintain healthier lifestyles throughout the year, and is even available to make presentations to organizations, churches and businesses.

The next eight-week “Shed the Pounds, Shed the Risk” program starts Tuesday, January 16th.  Those interested in taking part in the program can call the Wayne UNC Health Care Center for Nutrition and Diabetes Health  at 919-731-6508 or email [email protected].  The class costs $75.
