Wayne County Hires New Media Manager

A new Media Manager is hired for Wayne County. The county’s Public Affairs Office has announced Joel Gillie started work as the new Media Manager on Thursday.  Gillie is a North Carolina native with over eleven years of experience in audio and video technology.  He was most recently the Operations Manager for the Curtis Media Group radio stations based in Goldsboro. Carol Bowden, the Director of Public Affairs for Wayne County, says Gillie’s expertise and creativity will add a fresh look to WGTV and the county’s social media sites, as well as critical projects for the new Maxwell Regional Agricultural and Convention Center opening in March.
