State Commends Safe Kids Wayne County Efforts

Safe Kids Wayne County is recognized for its efforts last year. State Fire Marshal and Commissioner of Insurance Mike Causey recently sent a letter to the Partnership for Children of Wayne County commending the Partnership for its Safe Kids efforts in 2017.  Causey states he hopes Safe Kids Wayne County continues its important work that keeps kids safe in child seats and safety belts, keeps medicine out of reach of children and reminds of the importance of fire safety.  Charles Ivey, the Executive Director of the Partnership for Children of Wayne County, reminds the Safe Kids program is completely grant-funded, with no Smart Start funds used for its activities.  Ivey also congratulates Partnership staffer Shelly Willis and her Safe Kids Committee for helping to provide the program.
