21 More Flu Deaths Reported In N.C.

(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services released Thursday that North Carolina saw 21 new flu deaths last week, bringing the total to 67 for the season.

Dr. Jorge Caseres is a doctor in Fayetteville and tells Spectrum News the number of people coming into his office with flu-like symptoms is way up.

Caseres says the recent stretch of cold weather that dumped several inches of snow here and throughout the state likely has something to do with the increase.
