ECU Looks To Better Serve Rural Areas

(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — The Chancellor of Eastern Carolina University says the school’s success is tied to the success of rural eastern North Carolina.

Cecil Staton says they are looking to expand how they serve that area of the state in multiple ways, including by training doctors at their medical school.

Chancellor Staton says the schools can provide many ways to boost the business climate.

Staton says they also want to help grow business through a program for entrepreneurs.
