DOT Prepares For Possible Snow (PHOTO GALLERY)

North Carolina Department of Transportation workers in Wayne County spent most of Monday morning getting equipment ready for the possibility of snow that’s forecast to move across the area during the evening.

Wayne County DOT workers started by putting spreaders and plows on their trucks, getting ready to hit the bridges and overpasses with a treatment of salt.

According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected in Wayne County.  Heavier snowfall is expected north and west of Raleigh.
