Winter Weather Advisory For Eastern Carolina

Mother Nature may offer a reminder that spring doesn’t officially begin until March 20th.  The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region, including Wayne County.  The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the area from 2 PM until 10 PM on Monday.  Rain is expected to change over to a mixture of snow and sleet this afternoon with some accumulation possible.  As of the morning briefing, the National Weather Service expects Wayne County to see less than an inch of accumulation.  Some higher accumulations are expected north and west of Raleigh.
