Occupant Escapes Mobile Home Fire (PHOTO GALLERY)

Early Tuesday afternoon, firefighters from Dudley, Mount Olive, and Arrington along with Wayne County Medic 8 responded to a working mobile home blaze on the 100 block of Forest View Drive in Dudley just off Alert Cable Road down the road from the Dudley Fire Station. As firefighters arrived on the scene, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from a single-wide mobile home. The occupant of the mobile home managed to get out safely before firefighters arrived. The quick action and team work of the firefighters kept this mobile home from burning to the ground. After the blaze was brought under control, the on-scene incident commander requested the Office of Emergency Services to assist in the fire investigation. A short time later, Wayne County Fire Marshall Bryan Taylor arrived on-scene. Firefighters remained on the scene for about two hours making sure the fire was completely out.
