Driver Extricated Following Crash On Zion Church Rd. (PHOTOS)

Wednesday afternoon, firefighters from Pricetown and Seven Springs, along with EMS Station 1 personnel, responded to a single-vehicle accident on Zion Church Road near N.C. 111 South. A white Ford car driven by Latricia V. Mills of Greenville was heading west on Zion Church Road toward N.C. 111 South when she apparently lost control of the vehicle while coming down a hill.  The vehicle spun around and slammed into the end of the concrete bridge rail on the driver’s side.  The car came to a rest facing down the embankment near the creek. As firefighters and EMS arrived on the scene, they found the driver was possibly pinned inside the vehicle. A Seven Springs utility truck arrived on the scene and personnel proceeded to use their extrication tool to remove the doors of the vehicle. Mills was safely extricated from the car. The North Carolina Highway Patrol arrived on the scene and started their investigation of the crash. According to the Highway Patrol, Mills will be charged with Failure to Maintain Lane Control. The road was shut down for about 45 minutes.
