Goldsboro Ensures Water Is Safe

The City of Goldsboro wants citizens to know its water is safe for drinking despite what a few residents may have heard.

Several citizens reported to the city a company called Carolina Fresh Water out of Greensboro had sent out water test kits for customers to take a sample and return for analysis.

The company sells products to treat water hardness.

City officials contacted Carolina Fresh Water and report the company never intended for customers to feel Goldsboro’s water was unsafe to drink.

The City of Goldsboro regularly tests its water to ensure it meets or exceeds EPA standards, and the city’s water is safe to use or consume.

Goldsboro’s annual water quality report is available on the city’s website.
