North Carolina Community Federal Credit Union in Goldsboro hosted the Support Military Spouses organization Tuesday as the non-profit handed out appreciation care packages to the spouses of airmen at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Diane Rumley co-founded Support Military Spouses with her husband, Steven.  Rumley says military spouses need the encouragement and support since they sign up for service along with their  husband or wife.

Brittany Acree is the Chief Retail Operations Officer at NCCFCU. She says the credit union has always served airmen at Seymour Johnson, and they joined the Support Military Spouses cause four years ago.

Support Military Spouses will be back handing out care packages and gifts in Goldsboro in time for Christmas.

Support Military Spouses has given out 58,000 care packages in three states since the organization started with its very first delivery at Seymour Johnson in 2010.
