The University of Mount Olive’s Kornegay Arena was filled close to capacity with family, friends and guests on Saturday as students from Spring Creek High School gathered for their graduation. The Commencement Exercise got underway at 10 a.m. with 149 students receiving diplomas. The event lasted about an hour. This year’s Salutatorian was Gabriel Barfield, and the Valedictorian was Veronica Ortiz. The presentation of diplomas was done by Principal Stephen Clingan, Assistant Principal Jessie Taylor and Graduation Coordinator Tammy Kennedy.
